Canada: A Friend Indeed

A Wall Street Journal article explains why Canadian Prime Minster Stephen Halper is a true friend indeed whom Americans should know about and cherish.  In the wars we fight, Canada is on our side, her superb soldiers doing real fighting while many continental European allies send troops that pretend to fight with us.  Team 44 is planning to impose protectionist trade barriers that will hurt our ally.  This is no way to treat a friend.  For its part, Canada should not allow its companies to poach American drugs at low prices, taking advantage of lesser intellectual property protection that forces our pharmaceutical firms to sell below cost in Canada, lest their product be stolen.  We need allies as solid as the Canadians, and leaders as pro-US as PM Halper.
