West Bank Palestinians: Hamas-Bound?

Mideast "peace process" delusions of Team 44 received a setback: a new poll shows Hamas gaining support as PA President Mahmoud Abbas fell below 50 percent support, at 47 percent, as Hamas rose from 29 to 33 percent.  Far from establishing that Israel & the US should press harder for a deal, it shows that a deal is not in the cards.  Abbas is a hapless figurehead who cannot even deliver a newspaper.  And even if he could deal, what makes anyone believe that the Palestinians would keep it, should they decide they could profit by ignoring whatever they sign?
