Especially compelling is Lord's sketch of Nevada GOP Senate nominee Sharron (yes, she spells it with two "r"s) Angle. She emerges as one smart, politically savvy candidate, in stark contrast to simpleton "mom in tennis shoes" Washington dummy Patty Murray or ultra-feminist California super-lefty Barbara Boxer (both running for a fourth Senate terms this year). Re other Senate candidates Lord profiles, I am not crazy about Kentucky GOP Tea Partier Rand Paul, but Angle & the others mentioned, like Florida GOP candidate Marco Rubio, deserve respect.
Bottom Line. Don't dismiss Tea Party types as dimwit nut-cakes. Many are well-informed and politically astute. They should do well in an election year with establishment political class types in unprecedented disrepute.
