Asian nuclear developments continue to unfold....
South Korea is getting bunker-busters (150 of them) from Uncle Sam, for $71 million, that could be used to strike underground North Korean nuclear facilities. The GBU-28 is a 5,000 lb. laser-guided bomb, which the ROK (Republic of Korea) will put on its F-15K Slam-Eagle fighter-bombers, an advanced version of the F-15 line. The ROK will take delivery of GBU-28s in 2013, which will make it the second US ally to get the weapon, after Israel.
Bottom Line. Asian nuclear developments bear close watching in the West, even as a passel of Mideast regional wars-to-come, possibly including a nuclear conflict, approach.
