America's latest hero, and Obama's two faces....
Salute ARMY STAFF SGT. Ty Carter's astonishingly heroic actions in a lengthy firefight at a remote outpost in Afghanistan and President Obama's moving tribute in presenting the Medal at yesterday's White House ceremony. Sgt. Carter's courage continues, as he publicly supports fellow PTSD sufferers, by putting his immense prestige behind it being A-OK to look for help.
Yet the same president who obviously admires--rightly so--Sgt. Carter's exploits gives Ft. Hood soldiers the Big Shaft on veterans' benefits & war decorations such as Purple Hearts. How so? Why deny that the Ft. Hood massacre was an act of domestic Islamist terror? The shooter shouted "Allahu Abkar!" ("God is great!") as he pulled the trigger, and carried a business card identifying him as "Soldier of Allah."
Put simply, the threadbare facade of "workplace violence" is invoked by Team Obama to keep spotless the president's inflated claim to have stopped all major terror attacks on US soil.
Bottom Line. The president's treatment of Medal of Honor recipients during his conduct of White House ceremonies has been eloquent & exemplary.
Now, would he please give the Ft. Hood veterans a fair shake?
